KlayFi Lab입니다.
저희 팀은 프로토콜이 출시 시점부터 KlayFi 커뮤니티가 가지는 의미와 그 중요성을 매우 잘 알고 있기에 이에 대해서 내외부적으로 수차례 강조해왔습니다.
실제로도 KlayFi 프로토콜 성장의 중심에는 KlayFi 커뮤니티가 자리하고 있었습니다. KlayFi 커뮤니티는 명실상부 Klaytn 생태계에서 가장 강력한 결속력을 자랑하고, 뛰어난 수준을 보유함과 동시에 신규 커뮤니티 구성원에게도 매우 젠틀한 모습을 갖추고 있습니다. 이와 함께 KlayFi 개발팀을 늘 응원하고 지지해오고 있는 훌륭한 커뮤니티입니다.
브랜드화 된 커뮤니티가 가지는 의미
이에 KlayFi Lab은 오래전부터 ‘우리’ 커뮤니티를 브랜드화하는 것을 계획해오고 있었습니다.
팀은 체인을 가리지 않고, 다양한 프로젝트들의 커뮤니티의 특성과 운영 등을 참고하기 위해 연구하던 차, 블록체인 생태계에서 가장 강력한 커뮤니티로 알려져 있는 Chainlink의 커뮤니티인 Link Marine에 대한 흥미로운 아티클를 찾을 수 있었습니다.
해당 기사에서는 “투자자들이 토큰과 같은 가상 자산을 장기간 보유하는 경향을 가지기는 쉽지 않다. 통상의 토큰 투자자들은 빠르게 수익을 실현하고 또 다른 토큰으로 이동하기 마련이다. 그러나 Link Marine 커뮤니티는 다른 투자자들과 뚜렷하게 다른 면모를 보인다. Link Marine 구성원들은 $LINK 토큰을 장기적으로 HOLD 하고 있음을 자랑스럽게 여기며 상호 간에 이를 공유한다.”라고 Link Marine을 분석하고 있습니다. (참고: 아티클1, 아티클2)
이러한 Link Marine의 모습은 KlayFi 커뮤니티를 떠오르게 합니다. 우리 커뮤니티는 KlayFi 프로토콜이 성장해오는 과정상에서 매우 Tough한 시기에도, KlayFi 커뮤니티는 변함없는 지지를 보여주었고 덕분에 개발팀과 커뮤니티는 함께 성장해왔습니다.
KlayFi Lab은 훌륭한 사례인 Link Marine 케이스를 참고함과 동시에, 최근에 신규로 창설된 미군의 우주군(US Space Force)에서 영감을 받아 KlayFi 커뮤니티 브랜드를 구축하고자 합니다. 또한 미 우주군은 ‘Guardians’라고도 불리는데 이는 미국의 전임 부통령인 마이크 펜스가 직접 붙여준 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
Guardians of the KlayFi
오늘 KlayFi Lab은 KlayFi 커뮤니티를 일컬어 ‘Guardians of the KlayFi’라고 명명하여 브랜드화 하고자합니다. 또한 Rank 시스템 역시 미 우주군인 Guardians를 참고하여 만들었습니다.
Rank 시스템은 KlayFi가 벤치마크한 Chainlink의 Link Marine과 같이 KlayFi 커뮤니티 구성원들 간 공유 가능한 ‘Fun/Meme Factor’이자, 결속력을 다지는 장치일 뿐 아니라 그 이상의 의미를 가지고 있습니다. 앞서 공유드린 아티클에서 확인 가능한 것처럼, 이러한 커뮤니티 구성원으로서의 결속력의 강화는 급작스러운 시장 충격에 따른 토큰 과매도를 줄이며 또한 단기 차익 거래 역시 막아주는 효과를 가져옵니다.
또한 이러한 Rank 시스템은 KlayFi 커뮤니티에서 자체적으로 준비 중인 KlayFi 생태계를 위한 프로젝트 KlayFi Fan 프로젝트(https://klayfi.fan/) 같은 훌륭한 ‘커뮤니티 드리븐 프로젝트’와 연계하여 $KFI 홀더들의 효익 강화를 위해 활용될 수 있을 것입니다. 또한 KlayFi Lab에서 진행하는 이벤트 등에도 마찬가지로 활용될 것 입니다.

여러 가지 이유로 Ranks를 구분해 두었지만, KlayFi Lab에게는 Specialist에서부터, General 그리고 Star-lord에 이르기까지 모두 소중한 커뮤니티 구성원입니다. KlayFi 커뮤니티의 브랜드화를 시작으로 앞으로 KlayFi Lab은 커뮤니티와 함께 성장해 나갈 수 있는 여러 가지 요소들을 마련해 나갈 것입니다. KlayFi 가디언들과의 이러한 노력을 함께함으로써 궁극적으로 KlayFi 생태계의 성장은 물론 Klaytn 생태계를 리드해나가는 강력한 커뮤니티가 될 것입니다.

Hello, KlayFi community.
This is KlayFi Lab.
Our team has emphasized the meaning of the community many times. We are grateful to have a strongly connected, intelligent, and supportive community.
Without the KlayFi community, we cannot achieve significant milestones.
The brand for the Community
Therefore, KlayFi Lab highly recognizes the value of the KlayFi community and decides to brand our community.
We have looked into many communities around the chains, DeFi services, and IT solutions. Meanwhile, we read an interesting article about Link Marines. The article says, “Traders do not necessarily tend to hold cryptocurrencies for an extended period. Usually, investors hunt for a quick profit and move on to the next crypto. However, this is where the Link Marines differ from most traders. The Marines are proud to say they HOLD the LINK token, which is a term used when referring to long-term investment.” (c.f., Article1, Article2)
It is somewhat similar to the KlayFi community. Our community is supportive and has gone through tough times together. Benchmarking the Link Marines case, our team was inspired by the newly launched US military Branch, US Space Force, and its service members, ‘Guardians’. It was named by former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence.
Guardians of the KlayFi
Today, we announce the official community naming, ‘Guardians of the KlayFi’.
We also follow the same ranking structure for Guardians, from Specialist 1 to General. Regardless of rankings, each Guardian has his or her role, and we recognize it.
Ranks for Guardians of the KlayFi carries the same meaning as Link Marines. It can be a Fun/Meme factor but at the same time bringing every member together. As the article says, this bonding between the Protocol and the community prevents overselling from sudden market fluctuations and short-term arbitrage.
Also, we expect the ranking system will integrate with community-driven projects such as KlayFi Fan Project(https://klayfi.fan/) to enhance benefits for $KFI holders. Moreover, it can be used for KlayFi Lab’s official promotions.

The team classified Ranks for a variety of reasons, but KlayFi Lab, from Specialist to General and even Star-Lord, are all valuable community members. Starting with the branding of the KlayFi community, KlayFi Lab will organize exciting plans together with the community.
